New York City Police Department Complaint Database

After New York State repealed Civil Rights Law § 50-a which kept police disciplinary records secret, over 323,000 accusations of misconduct, naming more than 81,500 current and former New York City police officers, were released on August 20, 2020.

The complaints, filed since 1985, include allegations of abuse of authority, excessive force, beatings, chokings, using profanity and racial slurs. Here’s a link for the database: https://www.nyclu.org/en/campaigns/nypd-misconduct-database.
